L. Ron Hubbard

L. Ron Hubbard is broadly acclaimed as one of the twentieth century's most influential authors, with more than 160 million copies of his works in circulation, in more than 32 languages worldwide. One of the prime reasons for this is that his work contains first hand information about ability and the basic principles of life – a knowledge that was not gained by being a spectator to life, but through real active participation.

"To really know life you’ve got to be part of life”, he has said," you must get down and look, you must get into the nooks and crannies of existence, you have to rub elbows with all kinds and types of men before you can finally establish what he is.”

That's exactly what he did. Equipped with a razor sharp intellect, a never ending energy, a boundless curiosity and a unique view of philosophy and science that put emphasis on usefulness and practicality above all, Hubbard commenced his study of life and its mysteries while he was still in his teens. His ensuing travels and discoveries would themselves fill many pages.

His life long purpose was to complete his research on the riddle of Man and to develop a technology that would lift man up to higher levels of understanding, ability and freedom – a goal that he fully reached with the development of Dianetics® and Scientology® technologies. Ron considered that it was not enough that he himself would get the benefit of his research results. He spent much effort on writing down every detail of his discoveries so that others would be able to share this immense amount of knowledge and wisdom to improve their lives.

L. Ron Hubbard said in an essay that he wrote in 1965: "I know no man who has any monopoly upon the wisdom of this universe. It belongs to those who can use it to help themselves and others."
